2022 Back to School Success Program
The B3 Foundation is committed to providing students in Tacoma, Seattle and Los Angeles the opportunity to pursue their academic journeys to the fullest extent. One of the main methods through which we fulfill this commitment is the provision of much needed backpacks and school supplies to ensure all students are equally prepared for the year ahead.
We were extremely fortunate to hold our Back to School Success Program in person this year, after two years of remote giving during the COVID-19 pandemic. Seeing the students and families in our communities smile with their new supplies, and developing relationships with our partners on the ground is what our B3 Family is all about. We understand how important access to quality school supplies and backpacks are for families, and recognize the financial burden this brings upon families each year. We know that the students and families in our communities need support now more than ever, and it is our honor to partner with schools and local organizations to provide that assistance.
This year, we were able to raise more money and distribute more backpacks than ever before! In Tacoma, we were also able to distribute laptop chargers to high school students in addition to hosting a community leadership panel for students and families.
With the help of Blu School Supplies and our partnerships with USC Trojan Outreach, Boys & Girls Clubs, and others, we distributed 2,000+ backpacks filled with school supplies to the cities of Tacoma, Seattle and Los Angeles.
Our 2022 recipients and partners are:
LAUSD and LAUSD Wellness Programs
Jordan Downs Housing Development
Gonzaque Village Housing Development
Eastside Community Center
Boys and Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound
Boys and Girls Clubs of King County – Southwest Club
Upward Bound House
We are so proud that this program has grown every year since its inception, and hope to provide even more backpacks and supplies in 2023 and beyond.
